In class Sarra focuses on the bridge between the breath, the mind, and the body. Using the sequence of postures as a means to observe what the biological, mental, and emotional reactions are and determine if they are indeed inline with the students highest potential. The intention of this style of yoga is to nestle closer and closer to the essence of things. This essence eventually becomes stillness and joy.

Charlie has been training and teaching Yoga asana, and meditation in high end spa’s, and an ashram in India for the past year. As well as privately in Westchester NY, and Connecticut.
He has been trained in Budokon Yoga, Vinyasa Krama, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Universal Yoga. As well as many different forms of meditation. He holds a 500 hour Hatha Yoga certification with Yoga alliance, a 200 hour Vinyasa Krama certification with United Yoga.
He is always learning. He believes that every interaction holds a lesson of some sort. He also believes that no matter why you start a Yoga asana practice, you cant help but take it farther beyond just the body.
He teaches mostly strong flowing classes that infuse all the styles he has learned. Sometimes the classes have long holds, and sometimes they just flow from one pose to another. He also creates workshops in partner yoga or just stretching or strengthening or arm balances, and inversions.
His focus is on teaching the correct alignment and how your body, and mind feel when they are in connection with your breath. As well as what comes up for you when you are holding a pose for a longer period of time.
What happens to your mood? What happens in your body? What thoughts come to you?
And then WHY?
Can you stop the thoughts, and just be in the now?
In his private practice he likes to teach serious students how to be in the postures. How to move with the breath. What each posture’s benefits are. How to sequence them together to get the best results for your body. Basically to teach you how to be your own teacher.
Charlie is also the creator of the Shakti wheel. A yoga prop designed to help support you in your asana practice. By giving you stability in the harder poses and strengthening you so that you don’t need the support. You can find out where he’s teaching, or traveling on his website. www.charlieji.com or www.shaktiwheel.com for orders.
Join these teachers and others in programs in the peaceful woods of New Hampshire, the serenity of the Maine Coast, or in the tropical hillside of Puerto Rico to deepen your understanding of yogasana, meditation, healthy living programs all working towards the path of unification. Shanti. Om.
